2. What InfraSkool does

InfraSkool is a civil engineering study app. After you sign in, you can browse learning modules, read practice questions, search content, save questions for later, track study progress, and send feedback. The app requires an account to use these features.

3. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the app and your account.

3.1 Account information

• Email address — when you sign up or sign in with email and password.
• Password — entered by you and sent to our authentication provider (Supabase). We do not store your plaintext password in the mobile app.
• User ID and session tokens — issued by Supabase when you sign in. Tokens are stored on your device so you stay signed in.
• Display name or profile image — only if present in your account metadata (for example, if you set them in your profile). Email sign-up does not require a name.

Google Sign-In is not enabled in the current Android app version. We do not receive Google account data from the mobile app today.

3.2 Learning and app activity

When you use study features, our servers store activity linked to your account, including:

• Questions you open or mark as read in study mode
• Time spent on questions (when the app sends it)
• Progress per topic (for example, questions attempted, accuracy, streaks, last question viewed)
• Questions you save to your wishlist / saved list
• Search terms you submit in the in-app search feature
• Feedback you submit (message text, optional star rating, and optional link to a specific question)

3.3 Information stored on your device

The app stores some data locally on your phone to work offline and load faster:

• Authentication session (AsyncStorage)
• Basic account session state (AsyncStorage)
• Cached categories, questions, and search data (MMKV), and a short queue of actions to sync when you are back online

The app checks network connectivity on your device to know when to sync offline actions. We do not send your location to our servers.

3.4 What we do not collect

• No advertising or ad identifiers
• No third-party analytics SDKs in the Android app (for example, no Firebase Analytics)
• No push notification tokens
• No precise GPS or location data
• No access to contacts, SMS, call logs, microphone, or camera

The Android app requests Internet permission only, so it can connect to our services.

4. How we use your information

• Create and manage your account and sign-in sessions
• Provide learning content, search, saved questions, and progress features
• Sync your progress across sessions and devices using the same account
• Respond to feedback you send us
• Keep the service secure and prevent abuse (for example, API rate limits)
• Improve content and reliability

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Third-party services

We use trusted providers to operate InfraSkool. They process data on our behalf as described below:

• Supabase — user authentication (email/password) and PostgreSQL database hosting for account-linked app data. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Railway — hosts our FastAPI backend API that the mobile app calls for content, progress, search, wishlist, and feedback. Railway Privacy Policy
• Cloudinary — delivery of some question images and documents. The app requests short-lived signed URLs through our API; we do not upload your personal files to Cloudinary through the mobile app. Cloudinary Privacy Policy
• Vercel— hosts the InfraSkool website (including this page). The mobile app may link to the website; routine website visits are governed by Vercel's policies. Vercel Privacy Policy

Data is transmitted over HTTPS between the app and these services where supported.

6. Data sharing

We share personal information only:

• With the service providers listed above, to operate the app
• When required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
• With your direction (for example, feedback you choose to send)

We do not share your data with advertisers.

7. Data retention

We keep account and learning data while your account is active so you can use progress and saved features. Feedback you submit is kept so we can review and respond. Local cache on your device can be cleared by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage in Android settings.

8. Your choices and rights

• Access and correction — you can view your email on your profile in the app. Contact us to correct account details.
• Sign out — use Sign out in the app to end your session on that device.
• Delete your data — the app does not yet offer in-app account deletion. To request deletion of your account and associated learning data, contact us using the details in Section 11. We will process verified requests within a reasonable time.
• Local data — uninstall the app or clear its storage to remove data kept only on your device.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. Contact us to exercise them.

9. Children's privacy

InfraSkool is intended for learners studying civil engineering topics and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures such as HTTPS for data in transit and authenticated API access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version at this URL and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
